Gem City Day - July 7, 2012
 Gem City Day offers a variety of different events and activities that are fun for the entire family. You'll find the usual kids games (every play wins a prize), as well as several constest for the kids such as a watermelon eating and watermelon seed spitting contests.

We are looking for entrants for the following events. Please click on the corresponding links for more information and for online entry forms.

  • 5th Annual Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest

    Contest starts at 11AM at the Gazebo Area

    1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Prizes will be awarded in two age groups 4-7 & 8-12.

    Winners will be asked to create a chalk mural for the 2009 Festival of Arts. image


  • 6th Annual Cornhole Tournament

    Tournament Starts at 12PM at 4th & Market St.

    Entries will be accepted on Tornament day until 11:30am.

    Cost is $10 per team.

    Minimum Age Requirment: 12 years image


  • 7th Annual T-Town Teeny-Tiny Turtle Race

    1,000 rubber turtles will race for 1st place on the Ohio River at Newburg Landing. Adopt your turtle today and you could win the Grand Prize of $500 CASH!

  • Patriotic Parade (Anything On Wheels - Kids/Pets)

    Parade Registration starts at 9:30am at the Gazebo. No entries will be accepted past 9:55am. The parade starts promptly at 10am.

    Parade Entrants are encouraged to decorate "Anything On Wheels" using a patriotic theme. This includes but is not limited to, bicycles, tricycles, wagons, big wheels, power wheels and etc.

    Also invited and included are your patriotic pets. Dress them up and walk or carry them through the parade.

    Each participant will receive a treat bag.

    Awards/Prizes will be given in both categories and will be announced and presented immediately following the parade at the Gazebo. image
